How Would You Define Good Health?
There is a greater dimension
to health than just feeling good.
Many
people answer this question, “good health is feeling good.”
This is nice but it has little do with having good health.
What is health? There is so
much more to being healthy than how you feel! The Physicians Desk
Reference (PDR) defines health in this way: “Health is a state
characterized by anatomical and psychological integrity. It includes
the ability to perform personally valued family, work and community roles
and the ability to deal with physical, biological, psychological and social
stresses. It includes a feeling of well-being and freedom from fear
of disease and untimely death.”
Health is not just how you feel, it’s how you are functioning; on every
level — physical, mental, emotional and social. Thousands
of Americans die of heart attacks each every year and the heart attack
is the first time that they are aware that they are sick. You can’t
wait until symptoms show up before you decide to act. Symptoms always
mean only one thing: behavior needs to be modified in some way.
By becoming more aware of your body in Network Care, you are learning to
interpret the sometimes subtle signals that your body gives you to change
your behavior. The more you can pay attention to the subtle cues,
the less you will need symptoms or illness to get you to change.
Life becomes much easier when you follow the “leads” your body is giving
you! Would you rather choose a lifestyle of wellness so your body
functions at an optimal level or live the typical American lifestyle and
unknowingly allow various diseases to progress to a crisis level before
you seek action?
Where does health come from? Health comes from within.
Your body has the inborn ability to heal itself naturally. You were
born to be healthy. The catch is, in order for your body to be able
to heal itself it must be free from Nerve Stress and Defense. The
nerve system coordinates the function of every cell, tissue, organ and
system in your body. The number one interference to the nerve system
known to science today is Defense.
Creating Wellness! Wellness is the process of attaining health,
happiness and vitality…allowing you to live your life to its fullest potential.
My wish for you is to live your life to its fullest and to improve the
quality of your life by creating wellness naturally.
